Unknowns 2-0 XXX FC

Unknowns United defeated XXX FC 2-0 in this latest game played at the Old Admiralty on 8th July, Sunday. Midfielder Gabby celebrated his return from a 6 month layoff due to injury by scoring a magnificent goal with his first touch of the ball. He reacted first and pounced on the rebound to bang in the goal after Hanwei's thunderous drive on goal was parried away by the keeper. On-form striker Zhenrong converted a spot-kick late in the game to seal the win after strike partner Kevin was hacked down inside the 6 yard box. Another impressive performance all-round by the Unknowns team.

Unknowns veteran striker Kevin said in the post match interview that he was exhilarated with Gabby's return to fitness. "He had a very good game...good comeback..his touches might have been abit rusty at times but overall he did well."

Nick said...: Congrats Guys for winning again... I feel like u guys hav the right to kno tt i am withdrawing from the squad due to irreconcilable differences with some members of the team. I cannot tolerate cowardly actions from those responsible -PS: let me kno wat is going on in the team or wat u feel, do not jus leave me in the dark and leave me out of matches or other stuff w/o informin me. Responsibility?
Its been an honour to play wif u guys especially players lik botak and apple. reali enjoyed my time wif u all. I felt i hav been as committed as any other player, i always give 100% and my best. Unknowns r one of the beta teams ard but i tink it makes no sense to continue when i am clearly not welcome and wanted. I understand tt u guys hav been frens for a long time and wil continue to be for years to come. Clearly some pple have made a mountain out of a mole hill on some incidents. Apparently i hav bruise some players' ego by not wantin to committ to gettin a jersey, but tts the way life goes.
I oso tink my desire to win and compete does not match the teams' philosophy. Apparently the reason for not joinin a league is due to fear of hurtin the friendship, but said to say, my friendship w/ some pple has been hurt for matters off the pitch and trivial matters - tis clearly shows it doesn't nid to take a league to destroy friendships...
Finally, w/o naming names, i hope certain hypocrites will ask themselves sincerely, whether or not i hav been committed and responsible? Whether i hav ever shown u guys "attitude" and not fight for the team...
So hopefully we'll mit someday on the pitch so our differences can b settled in the right spirit. PS: friendships aside, i will not flinch in a tackle :) I hope u guys continue wif ur winning streak and take care!; July 12, 2007 at 10:53 PM
